Get To Know MAA
As a growing practice comprised of physicians and certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs), Midwest Anesthesia Associates strives to remain independent. We think that having the ability to make local decisions results in better outcomes for our patients and a more enriching environment for our professionals, and it fosters personal accountability that benefits the healthcare industry as a whole.
We can trace our roots back to 1947 when two local physicians, Dr. Hamilton and Dr. Havens established a practice to provide anesthesia services. We incorporated in 1978, and we’ve been on the move ever since.
Even after all these years, our purpose remains the same and every one of us has internalized this mission; our passion for our patients, our colleagues, and our associates drive everything we do.
MAA is governed by an executive committee, to which the president and CEO report. A subgroup of executive committee members that includes President Derek Seiler, MD; Vice President Rachel Hollingsworth, MD; CEO Lori Pagán manages the group on a daily basis to assure operational integrity and to offer immediate access to problem solving.
Lori Pagan is providing anesthesia practice management and recruiting, she has a wide range of experience in a variety of client services including strategic planning, provider recruiting, staffing, budgeting, project management, information technology, contracting, and compliance.
